Welcome to Sialkot Dry Port Trust

SIALKOT DRY PORT TRUST was established in the private sector in 1984 by 52 reputed exporters/businessmen of Sialkot. Each of them contributed a non returnable amount of Rs.10,000/- at the time of its establishment. However, they have earned the perpetual, enviable and unique honour of being the pioneers for establishing the first ever Dry Port in Asia the private sector. The main aim of this Dry Port was to provide the facility of Customs Clearance to the exporters and importers of this region at their door step.

The Sialkot Dry Port Trust has the unique honor of being the first ever dry port established in private sector in Asia in 1985. Its establishment was the result of collective efforts of progressive exporters of Sialkot, the officials of the Pakistan customs and allied departments.
President (Late) General Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq formally inaugurated it in 1986. Its strategic location is such that it has benefited main industrial cities of Sialkot, Gujranwala,  Wazirabad  and Gujrat  in providing export facilities at their doorstep. It is almost equi-central to Gujranwala,  Wazirabad, Daska, Gujrat and Sialkot. It has been the enthusiastic and determined efforts of Seth Muhammad Iqbal, Founder Chairman of Sialkot Dry Port Trust (Late) and its trustees, importers, Exporters management and staff that this institution has achieved unprecedented success.
